Your physician, surgeon, Walk-In Clinic, etc. has "partnered" with Active Brace and Limb to help provide an easier patient experience for you. Conveniently, you receive and are fitted with your prescribed item (crutches, sling, brace, etc.) in the comfort of their office without having to visit another location with possibly an unstable injury.
Why did I receive a bill from Active Brace and Limb?
After receipt of your item, you will be asked to sign an Active Brace and Limb delivery sheet that is proof of receipt, but also explains what you have received, who you are receiving it from, and our billing practices. Because we are technically providing the item to you, we will bill your insurance company (if it is a "billable" item), or send you a bill directly (if it is a "non-billable" item or you don't have insurance). We also contact all of our Stock and Bill patients a few days after receipt of their item to provide this same explanation so that they are aware of why they are receiving a bill from us.
